The BAPTICOSTAL MOVEMENT

The Bapticostal movement is a movement of the Holy Spirit that started in the 1980's within Christians of the Baptist faith. These Christians have embraced certain elements of the Pentecostal/Charismatic movement and have kept of certain elements of their Baptist experience. The word Bapticostal is a portmanteau word of Baptist and Pentecostal. From the Baptist experience; the teaching that Salvation is by faith in the Lord Jesus Christ plus nothing else and the authority of Christ over man’s rituals and baptism by immersion. (In the name in which dwell the fullness of the God-head [Father, Son and Holy Spirit], Jesus who is Immanuel, “God with us”. (Matthew 1:23; Saint John 10:30; Acts 2:38; Colossians 1:15-19). From the Pentecostals, they receive the practice of exhibiting spiritual gifts such as speaking in tongues, being slain in the Spirit, or being given a special word of knowledge. (Acts 1:8; Acts 2:4; Romans 12:3-8; I Corinthians 12:7-11, 28; Ephesians 4:10-12)

Hence, the word Bapticostal more doctrinally identifies the United Chaplain Fellowship Bapticostal Assemblies International, its present believers, and new converts as they follow the truth of Saint John 1:12; Saint John 3:5; Matthew 3:11; Matthew 28:19-20; Acts 1:8;Acts 2:1-4, 38, 42; Acts 8:14-17; Matthew 25:31-46 and 1 Corinthians 13:1-13.

The Bapticostal movement is a movement of the Holy Spirit that started within Christians of the Baptist faith.

Bapticostal is a portmanteau word of Baptist and Pentecostal. Therefore, this portmanteau word Bapticostal is a combination of two other words that have created a new word and meaning (Ex: smog, from smoke and fog; Bapticostal,  from Baptist and Pentecostal).
